The History of Tracker Enterprises

The basis for Tracker Enterprises has been in the making for the past 30 years. All of the founders have owned and managed businesses and have experience as coaches, consultants, and advisors to numerous other businesses from “mom and pop” sized establishments to large corporate entities.

Our experiences as owners and managers have taught us many things, but the most important is that business owners produce the best services and products when they concentrate on "doing the business of their business," not devoting precious time to understanding the details and nuances of financial spreadsheets and accounting documents. It’s a fact. Most business owners are visionaries (i.e., entrepreneurs) and experts in the products and services they provide. They are not trained to understand the financial part of their business, they do not like to spend the time analyzing their financials, and so, they are not good at it. They delegate the finances to their bookkeeper, accountant, and/or financial advisor and then, if they take the time to do it at all, the owners review reports that they may not fully understand.

Tracker Enterprises hopes that you already have experts who advise you on your business (e.g., certified public accountants, bookkeepers, financial advisors, and attorneys). These advisors are important, and Tracker Enterprises urges business owners to look to these experts for advice. If these advisors have answers to every owner’s questions, why do so many owners pay little or no attention to their financials and why do so many businesses still continue to fail, barely get by, or never reach their full potential? That is why Tracker Enterprises came up with a different way to understand and manage your financials – a way that requires little accounting/financial expertise on the business owner’s part and a minimal time commitment.

Tracker Enterprises uses the process of taking actual, financial numbers and re-forecasting them into a unique format that is made up of all the different parameters and components of expenses and revenue.

When driving a car forward, the driver gets to where he is going by looking through the windshield, not by looking in the rearview mirror. In business, we realized that the typical financial information provided to a business owner contained information for a given time period(s) that had already happened (i.e., looking at history or looking in the rear view mirror). Tracker Enterprises realized that forecasting and analysis should be done, at least once per month, based on up-to-date financials, to see how well the business is doing, at any point in time and, in addition, to predict what might occur in the future (i.e., looking forward to where you are going, or looking through the windshield).

By using Tracker Enterprises’ principles, your chances for success, or even greater success than you already have, can improve dramatically. Tracker Enterprises’ tools allow you to measure your business’s progress and predict the future; it is a template that can improve the chances that your business investment will continue to appreciate.
